What is the Bumper to Hitch Pin Clearance on the Hidden Hitch for a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

I bought a trailer hitch 2inch receiver from Etrailer for my 2007 Outback. I cannot fold my 1Up bike rack into the vertical position because the receiver is too far under the car from the edge of the bumper. I would like to put the same bike rack on my 2016 Outback. I have read many of the expert responses on your webpage thank you and Id like to know the difference in the hitch pin to bumper edge distance between the Draw-Tite 75560 on my 2007 Outback and the Draw-Tite 75673 for my 2016 Outback. I know the Curt 13206 sticks out farther, which would be better, but requires a stabilizer strap that you dont recommend for the 2016 Outback. Help! Thanks so much,

When we installed the Draw-Tite part # 75673 on a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon like yours we found that it measure 5-1/2 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to the outer most portion of the bumper.

The difference between this and the # 75560 you have installed on your 2007 Outback is that this hitch instead has 8 inches from the pin hole out to the bumper. So on the new Outback with the new hitch you would have 2-1/2 additional inches of clearance to hopefully allow you to fold up your bike rack.
