Fitment and Compatibility of Thule Hullavator Pro on a 2014 Toyota Highlander with Factory Crossbars
Question:
I have a 2014 Toyota highlander with crossbars that do not extend past the rooftop, they round into the car. I am interested in the Thule hullavator 898. I am trying to figure out if I can buy an adaptor to put on the current bars that would extend and then use with the hullavator...or would I have to buy an all new crossbar/rack system. Can you suggest anything to help with this problem? thanks so much!

I have a solution for you but your factory crossbars are not going to be long enough for the Hullavator to be compatible with and we do not have an adaptor to extend your current crossbars.
I spoke to my contact at Thule and he informed me that to make the Hullavator # TH898 compatible with your 2014 Toyota Highlander your roof rack crossbars must extend past the vehicle or the carrier will contact the side of the vehicle when its lowered.
I recommend a whole new roof rack system. Since you have indicated that you have the flush rails that run front to back on your Highlander the Thule Roof Rack Kit that will allow you to use the Hullavator Pro # TH898 is the # THKIT3134 custom clamp kit with the # TH460 Podium foot and the # TH712400 53 inch SquareBars.
I have linked all the parts mentioned above as well as a few installation videos for you to check out for your convenience.
