What is the Weight or Load Capacity of the 48x32 Cargo Carrier
Question:
How much weight can you place in this cargo carrier? I am thinking of using it, along with the optional ramp, to carry a lawnmower, or snowblower. Is it sturdy enough to carry equipment like this?

Expert Reply:
The Pro Series 48x32 cargo carrier can hold up to 400 pounds. The carrier itself weighs about 105 pounds including the ramp. This would yield a total tongue weight of 505 pounds. The hitch that you had previously purchased has a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. I would make sure that whatever load you are putting on the carrier is 245 pounds or less to ensure you are within the limit of the hitch.
Check your vehicle owner manual. If the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle is less than the hitch, you must abide by the owner manual.
