4-Way on 2005 Ford F-150 4- and 7-Way Connector Not Working But 7-Way Is
Question:
I have a 2005 Ford F-150 Lariet with factory towing package installed. The installed 4 pin flat connector does not work, however the 7 pin round connector does have voltage for turn signals and running lights. Can I use this adapter to plug in to the factory round adapter so that I can plug in my 4 pin trailer plug to this adapter?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If the 7-Way is working on your 2005 Ford F-150 then using adapter # 47345 will work as well. Usually a 7- and 4-Way combination connector uses the same wiring for both the 4- and 7-Way receptacles so it is odd that the 4-Way is not working but the 7-Way is. It could just need to be cleaned or the wiring connections re-established to start functioning again.
