Availability of Adapter to Use Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar with Blue Ox Base Plate
Question:
I have a 1998 Ford explorer 4300# with a blue ox base plate. Recently I purchased another MH that has Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Nonbinding Tow Bar 028850 with it. Do you know what its rating is and does Blue Ox have adapters for it? I also have available to me a Roadmaster Stainless Steel Falcon 5250 Ser. # 061702 tow bar. Same Questions? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar has a 6,000 lb capacity, so it'll work fine. Roadmaster does indeed offer an adapter for the Falcon all terrain that would allow it to work with the Blue Ox base plates, part # RM-031. The discontinued Falcon 5250 tow bar had a 5000 lb capacity, and is also compatible with Blue Ox base plates if you use the # RM-031 adapter.
