Derale Transmission Cooler Installation in 2015 Honda Odyssey

Question:

Hello, Ive watched the video for the Derale 8000 on a 2014 Honda Odyssey. I am wondering, what happens to the old Trans lines that you pull off? It shows sticking a bolt in it so it doesnt leak but what happens to them after that? Thanks for the help.

The bolt shown in the linked video for Derale cooler # D13503 is installed in the hose only temporarily to prevent the transmission fluid from leaking out. The bolt is shown being removed at the 7:48 mark.

When installing Derale transmission cooler # D13503 in your Honda Odyssey you will use only one of the two OEM transmission lines, the return line which will be the cooler of the two. This Derale product installs downstream of the OEM cooler and provides supplementary cooling to help the factory cooler; it does not replace the factory cooler so only the one line is used. The return line connects to one side of the Derale cooler and its output side then re-connects to the transmission system using the other end of the return line.
