It is possible that an error in the BCM could cause problems with the brake controller. Usually when a brake controller does not work with the brake pedal it is related to the red brake controller wire. The red wire receives input from the brake switch which tells the controller you are stepping on the brake pedal.

Check the connection on the red wire using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. It should only have power when you step on the brake pedal. If it does not, then it could be a blown stop light or CHMSL fuse.

If the fuses are good, the red wire connection is good, and you are still not getting power to the red wire then it could be the BCM. Or the truck is possessed by an evil spirit!
