Trailer Hitch, Wiring Harness and Ball Mount Recommendations for 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport
Question:
I own a 2015 Hyundai Santa fe sport. Trailer ready wiring I did look under the panel rear of driver side tire. I just need to confirm that. Hitch # C13152 and wire harness #C56332 are correct for this Hyundai. I will be towing a rental 5x8 cargo trailer, could you recommend a ball mount height. Thanks so much!

The Curt Class III hitch you referenced, part # C13152 would be an excellent choice. For wiring, the Curt # C56332 would work well as long as the connectors you found at the rear of the vehicle are active. I'd recommend having a helper activate the turn signals, brake lamps and running lamps as you use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 on the pins of the connectors you found to make sure they're active. If they're not, you'll want to go with the # C56184 wiring harness.
When we installed the # C13152 we found that the inside top of the receiver tube was 13 inches above the ground. To determine the correct ball mount, you'd need to know the above ground height of the coupler when the trailer is level. The difference between these two measurements will be the ball mount rise you need. The typical trailer coupler height is between 16-18 inches. You could call the trailer rental place to see if they can tell you the coupler height. If they cannot, you'll need to guess. A three-inch rise provided by # 4281 would get you pretty close.
