How to Hardwire a Brake Controller in a 2004 Ford F-350

I am in a pinch and am taking the brake controller out of my 07 chev 3500 and putting it in my 04 ford f350 i need to know the wire match the controller went bad in the ford

The correct quick splice harness needed to install a brake controller in a 20014 Ford F-350 is the part # 3035-P.
I attached a picture that shows how the connector of it would match what you have in your truck. This could be used as a guide or you can test the wires of the connector to determine their function with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
The pin that has voltage all the time will be the 12 volt power circuit (goes to red wire), the pin with 12 volts of power only when the brake is applied is the power wire (goes to black wire). Now you will need to test to determine which is ground.
Ground the tester to the constant 12-volt power wire, then probe the remaining two wires. The wire that lights the tester will be the ground (white), the other will be the brake output circuit (blue).
