The Superwinch Talon Series Off-Road Winch # SW1618200 offers a substantial 18K line pull rating with a static load, so with your 8200-lb fork lift, which is a rolling load not a static load, this winch will be a very good choice. It is always a good idea to have a generous safety margin when it comes to selecting a winch. This leads to longer life from the winch.

The winch capacity needed to pull a fork lift up onto a trailer depends not just on the weight of the load (8200-lbs) but also on the angle of the trailer ramp as well as the length of the cable used on the winch. The shorter the cable and the lower the degree of incline the less winch capacity is needed. The linked article explains in detail.
