The solution for your Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar is the Roadmaster Complete Repair Kit # RM-910003-55. I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he confirmed that you will want to use the repair kit to replace the components in your tow bar. I have attached the installation instructions to this kit for you.
When the tow bar is apart, my contact at Roadmaster said that to clean to the tow bar you will want to use a simple degreaser, non-abrasive brush, and only silicone spray.
My contact at Roadmaster believes the reason the tow bar is not easily moving in and out is due to carbon and other buildup caused by the age of the tow bar.
If the serial number on your Falcon tow bar is lower than 23240, you will also need 2 # RM-200031-00 bushings to complete the repairs on your tow bar.
