Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2005 Ford Focus Sedan and Class I Hitch Adapter

I have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX-4 four door sedan and I would like to know which trailer hitch could be purchased for this vehicle and would that hitch be able to accept a 2inch adapter for a motorcycle cradle? Thank you for your time.

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2005 Ford Focus Sedan is the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch # 24692. This hitch offers a 1-1/4 inch, Class I receiver with a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and max tongue weight of 200 pounds. It is important to keep in mind that if your vehicle's towing and tongue weight capacities, and to not exceed those capacities to ensure safe towing.
Since this is a Class I hitch with the stop tab, you will want to use a hitch adapter that is compatible with Class I hitches. We offer 2 adapters that are compatible with Class I hitches, the Brophy Adapter with 5 Inch Rise # HT5R and Straight Adapter # HTAD.
Keep in mind that using a hitch adapter that expands the hitch receiver like the # HT5R or # HTAD will reduce the hitch's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent.
