Helpful Expert Reply:
The tongue weight capacity for each of the balls on the Curt tri-ball ball mount # D900 will be 10 percent of their gross trailer weight capacity.
The 1-7/8 inch ball is rated for 600 pounds tongue weight and 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight. The 2 inch ball is rated for 750 pounds tongue weight and 7,500 pounds gross trailer weight. And the 2-5/16 inch ball is rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight.
