Some RBW 5th wheel hitches will fit in the industry standard 5th wheel rails that are available for your 1997 Dodge Ram 2500. I have included a picture of standard rails. If your hitch mounts in any of the three sets of slots on the tops of the rails then you can use it in the standard rails.
If the hitch does not fit the Reese standard rails then I recommend replacing the 5th wheel hitch since RBW has been out of business for several years and is no longer producing install kits. If you want an all new kit, brackets, rails, and hardware I recommend # RP30035.
I recommend the Reese # RP30047. This is a great, cost-effective option. It features a secure dual jaw design and 4-way pivoting head. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
