Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Hitch Setup Recommendation for 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 6-1/2-Foot Bed
Question:
I am buying a GMC 3500. I will need a gooseneck and 5th wheel hitch. I like the Reese Elite Series, because of the ability to remove the ball from the bed of the truck. Unlike the BandW, you still have to exercise the latch under the wheel well. Thank you for any direction and comment you provide.

To equip your 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 with 6-1/2-foot bed for both gooseneck and 5th wheel towing I suggest you go with the B&W system. Gooseneck hitch and install kit # BWGNRK1012-5W will install in your 3500 without frame drilling. The linked video shows the installation process in a 2015 3500. You can then add their Companion sliding hitch # BWRVK3400-5W and wiring harness # C56000 to complete the 5th wheel setup.
This system will allow you to easily switch from gooseneck to 5th wheel towing by simply inserting the Companion into the gooseneck ball hole. You can also have the bed completely unobstructed for carrying cargo by removing the hitch and ball.
