Is the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Hitch Compatible with a Sidewinder
Question:
I currently have a BandW Companion 5th wheel hitch and need a little more trailer turning room. Will the Reese Revolution Sidewinder work on my hitch? If not, what options would you suggest. Thank you

I have some options for you, but the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 is not compatible with the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR or any other sidewinder king pin box.
The Companion is not designed to be used with any device that changes the pivot point of the trailer's king pin. This is due to the single attachment point of the hitch at the gooseneck, rather than the 4 attachment points of standard 5th Wheel hitches.
If you need more room to clear a turn and you are using the fixed Companion hitch, you can gain 12 inches of travel front to back to provide needed clearance in turns by using the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3400. I recommend this hitch because it will provide the same type of set up at the fixed hitch but with the additional clearance needed to turn. Typically, pickups with bed lengths between 6 feet - 8 feet will require a slider hitch to provide clearance for 90 degree turns.
The Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 is also not compatible with sidewinders or any other device that changes the trailer's pivot point.
I have also attached links to our 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck adapters for you.
