Troubleshooting P3 Brake Controller Power Loss Brake Error Message
Question:
I had it disconnected for awhile then when I finally plugged in back in, P3 displayed Power Loss Brake. The buttons will not work at all on P3, it still stay stuck on Power Loss display. Also my truck brake light stay on as well my RV trailer. It also lockup my RV trailer brake. If I disconnect the P3, the trailer brake is disengaged and the brake light are gone on both truck and trailer. I disconnect trailer plug from truck and connected P3 again, the Power Loss display came back on and the truck brake light went on again.... What give? Wiring came loose in the process?

If you have the caution screen that says power loss on it then this means that the power to the controller is being interrupted while braking. This is most likely an issue on the black power wire for the controller and how it attaches to the truck. Make sure it is making a solid connection the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker that is functioning properly.
