Bestop Trektop NX Has Gap Above Passenger Side Door
Question:
After about a month the passenger side above the window gets a gap of 1/2inch when going above 50. It makes the jeep so loud its unappealing. What do we need to do to secure the top so the gap will go away?

There is a cable that runs along the edge of the roof from front to back. The gap you're seeing can be caused by 3 or 4 things.
1) Cable came loose from the header
2) Cable came loose from behind the rear door
3) If neither of these is the case, if both ends are securely attached but the cable is loose in the middle, the cable has broken and would need to be replaced.
4) At the rear of the cable, it's attached to a spring. The cable is looped around a screw head as shown on page 24 of the instructions. If the sun rider (sun roof) is opened, sometimes the cable can become unlooped, which would leave slack in the cable.
Any of the above mentioned items can cause slack in the cable, which would cause the gap you're experiencing. If you find the cable's loose, you can see how to attach it on page 16-19 of the instructions.
