Voyager Brake Controller Does Not Show Trailer Connected when a Trailer is Connected
Question:
My brakes stopped working on the trailer and the led light will not light up. When grounded and touch the blue wire with tester the green light comes on the box however when we remove the tester the green light goes out, what should we look for next?

It sounds like your Voyager brake controller # 39510 is no longer sensing that a trailer is connected. The draw of the tester makes it think a trailer is connected which is why the light comes on when testing.
Usually when this happens it is the result of a dirty or corroded trailer connector. Make sure that the truck and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside where the wires attach and outside on the pins. Also check for damaged or pinched wires on the vehicle and trailer side wiring (as far as you are able).
If the truck side checks out fine then it could be the wiring to the brake magnets or the magnets themselves. Inspect the power wires to the magnets and look for pinched, frayed, or damaged wires and fix as needed. Make sure the ground wires are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
You can visually inspect the magnets and if you can see the copper windings coming through the magnets will need to be replaced. To further test the magnets you can follow the help article I have linked. I have also included some help articles on testing and troubleshooting brake controllers for you.
