Relay Recommendation to Activate Trailer Running Lights on a 2005 Nissan Xterra
Question:
I have everything working on my 2005 nissan xterra except no running lights. There is no factory towing package installed so the relays are not installed. I understand that kit #C56225 has them. Can I purchase only the relays required to get the running lights working?

It sounds like your 2005 Nissan Xterra is missing one relay (or it has gone bad), that is traditionally found under the dash to the left of the steering column. There is a socket there to plug in the relay that will activate the tow package tail lights.
You are correct that the Curt T-connector # C56225 has the relays, the replacement blue relay is also included in the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.
