Recommendation for a Fifth Wheel Hitch on a 2013 Ford F-350 Platinum

Question:

I have 2013 Ford F350 Platinum with factory goose neck set up. I know the Elite Series slider fits my set up, but want to know if the 30084 will attach the same way in the pucks? Difference in cost is huge.....I dont need the 7-way in bed harness as I already have it.... Just looking to save a few $$ if possible. Thanks

Good news, I have a few cost effective solutions that are compatible with your current puck system.

The Reese 20K Hitch # RP30084 you mentioned is only compatible if used in combination with the Reese frame adapter # RP30156. The adapter will fit into your pucks and work with standard above the bed rail hitches 15,000-20,000lbs.

I highly recommend the Demco AutoSlide 21K # DM8550038 or 18K # DM8550024, these systems are competitively priced and are compatible with your current puck system without an adapter. The really neat thing about this 5th wheel hitch is the AutoSlide feature. You never have to get in the bed to adjust it from towing to turning, it automatically does it for you.

It's important to note that the tongue weight of the trailer falls in the capacity of the hitch, and ultimately what your vehicle is rated for. I have attached the link to all the 5th wheel hitches for your vehicle and a video of the frame adapter for your convenience.
