A colleague has a 2010 Honda Pilot so I went out to check on opening the auxiliary fuse box door and then the cover behind the door.
In the instructions linked below, the manufacturer of T-One Connector with Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, # 118491, states to use a trim panel tool to remove the door. What I did was to use the vehicle key. I stuck it in at about a 45 degree angle towards the front. I then pushed against the door towards the passenger side of the vehicle and the door just popped right off. I did not pry the door open.
The cover on the fuse panel is directly behind the door. On the top there is a little tab that you cannot really see. It is on the top center of the cover. Push down on the tab with your thumb and pull out and down. The cover came off without any problems. To replace it, attach the bottom first as the cover sort of pivots at the bottom. Then simply push it into place. It does not really snap so you will know it is in place if you give it a little tug and it does not move.
