If the 7-way connector on your vehicle came installed from the factory, there may be a fuse needed to provide power to the 12V power wire at the 7-way. If the connector is installed aftermarket, there should either be a fuse or circuit breaker installed inline before the wire is connected to the vehicle battery.
If you have an aftermarket 7-way, you will want to follow the wire from the 7-way connector to ensure that there is a circuit breaker or fuse installed. If there is a fuse or circuit breaker installed and the power wire is not functioning, the breaker or fuse may need to be replaced. You can use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to test for a signal.
If the 7-way is factory installed, you will want to check your owner's manual or fuse box lid to determine the location of the proper fuse.
