Wiring the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit on 2016 Ford Fusion
Question:
Bought the towed vehicle universal wiring harness. When I got to the installation step for the tail light wiring ran into a problem. Ford has been so gracious as to have five wires black, lt blue w/drk blue tracer, white w/grn tracer, purple w/red tracer and lt blue with blue tracer going into the tail light although there are only four wires on the tail light itself. Unable to find anything on the internet. Would really appreciate any help. Best would be an adapter kit for the connectors, do yall stock that? Keep Smiling

Vehicle manufacturers don't typically make information on which color wires provide which functions available publically because the wire colors can change from model year to model year. The best way to know which wire you will need is to use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to find the wire at your taillight that has power when the brakes and turn signal are applied. Based on my research the Fusion has combined wiring, so the turn and brake signals will be on the same wire.
We do not have information on the wiring system of specific vehicles. When we are installing tow bar wiring in any vehicle, we have to test the wires to find the correct wires to splice into.
We do not currently have a vehicle specific tow bar wiring harness for your 2016 Ford Fusion, or any kind of adapter for the connectors.
