Where Would Ignition Wire of Superwinch LT3000 Run on a Non-ATV Installation
Question:
Hi, im using the superwinch lt3000 on a trailer instead of mounting it on an ATV. Since I dont have an ignition switch, how do I hook up the red wire that runs to it? I have tried connecting them to each other , but the winch does not work. Does it need to be energized from the battery so the relay has power?

The red wire that runs to the ignition switch on the Superwinch LT3000 part # SW1130220 would normally get run to power source that only sees voltage when the key of the ATV is on. In your application you would need to just run a 12 volt power circuit.
I attached a diagram for the wiring of the winch for you to check out as well.
