Where to Measure on a Scissor Jack to Determine if it Will Fit on a Trailer

Question:

Hello, I bent one of my scissor stabilizing jacks when I hit a curb ouch I need to replace the jack. I have it off but cant find a manufacturer nameplate. Id like to replace it without welding a new bracket on it. What can I do to make sure I purchase a jack that will bolt onto existing mounting bracket?

Expert Reply:

If you can tell me the mounting hole spacing of the old scissor jack I can determine if any of the models we have will fit. For example on jack # UF48-979032 there are a total of 8 mounting holes. Take a look at the picture I have included that shows the hole spacing.

If your jack is different let me know what you come up with and I can determine if anything we have will fit.
