Expert Reply:
The RBW Lil Rocker fits in industry standard above the bed rails. We have several installation kits that will work and that also fit your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed.
For a custom kit that will not require drilling into the truck frame you can use Curt kit # C16420-204 or Reese kit # RP50140-58.
Or for a semi-custom kit that does require some frame drilling you can use Reese kit # RP30035-023 if the truck does not have overload springs or # RP30035-186 if the truck does have overload springs. You could also use Curt kit # C16301-200 with or without overload springs.
The custom kits are going to require less installation kit and less drilling so I recommend going with one of them.
