Do Demco Hijacker Locking Plates Have to Be Set Every Time You Tow Trailer

Question:

Do the locking plates have to be set each time the trailer is attached? Or do they only need to be set one time?

The locking plate of the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550037 is something that installs onto the king pin of the trailer you will be towing to prevent the king pin from turning in the hitch head. The plate allows the head of the hitch to turn with the trailer which activates the slider portion of the hitch.

It would only require the initial installation.

I attached a page that has all of the locking plates we offer.
