Left Arm on Falcon Tow Bar Releases While Towing
Question:
Use a Falcon tow hitch on my RV. When pulling and start braking left tow bar releases, and makes car tow at angle. Only left bar does this. Any suggestions on how to correct. Thanks

It sounds to me like the tow bar arm is probably just dirty. Over time, dirt and debris can build up on the arms and when it retracts the dirt is carried to the inside of the arm which can cause it to not function properly. I recommend that you remove the arms and thoroughly clean them using Voom RV Cleaner, # RM-9911, or another household degreaser product. You will want to run a rag through the inside of the arm making sure to remove all grease, dirt, and debris. Once clean, use a silicone spray to lubricate. This should take care of your problem.
If you happen to have the Falcon 2 tow bar and cleaning does not solve the problem, the locking pins in the arm may be damaged and will need to be replaced. For this you will need Roadmaster Locking Pin Repair Kit, # RM-910003-80.
