Troubleshooting Brake Controller Install for 1999 Chevy Silverado Where Controller Does Not Connect
Question:
I wired my Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller to my 1999 Chevy 1500 Silverado. The controller showing a green light but not showing the sliding power lights either with the brake or the controller. Brake lights and turn signals working on the trailer, All wires tested and showing there is a connection. I believe I have the correct wire connections, I dont have schematics or papers - Truck to Controller - Lt. blue to red, red to black with 20 amp breaker inline, blue to blue, white to ground. Any thoughts? Thank You

Based on what you said you did wire up the Curt Venturer # C74VV correctly to your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.
However, there are a few underhood connections you will need to make on your truck to get the controller to activate. Check out the help article I attached to see what you will need to do.
