Ground Location for Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 on 2000 Volvo S70
Question:
Hello I have a 2000 S70 Volvo and am having trouble with grounding the 7 pin I grounded it to the gas tank strap. But none of the lights are working. Should I buy the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End would that help.

I wouldn't recommend grounding your 7-way to the gas tank strap. Due to safety issues, I would stay as far away from the gas tank as possible. Instead I would ground the wire to the frame of your 2000 Volvo S70 making sure that the spot that you choose is free of dirt and corrosion. Changing the ground location could solve the problem.
Once you have changed the ground location, if the lights still aren't working, feel free to send me an email and we can continue the troubleshooting process.
