Can I use 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Part 37185 on my 2006 Volvo XC90
Question:
I have a 2006 Volvo XC90 with an existing 4 way adapter flat. I need to pull an existing trailer with a 7 way plug it has no brakes and I also want to be able to pull a rental trailer. Part #37185 seems to do the trick, but then there is a list of vehicles it fits mine isnt one. If Im only only attaching this adapter to the four way part of it, would this work?

If you were to use it just for trailer light functions it would work fine. You would plug in the the 4-Way you currently have, then attach the ground wire to the XC90 frame. The other 3 wires are for reverse lights, trailer brakes and a power source. If you do not need any of these functions, you can tape these leads up and out of the way.
Part # 37185 is not vehicle specific and can be wired to virtually any vehicle.
