Will Muffler Need To Be Lowered to Install Draw Tite Hitch On 2011 Hyundai Accent 3 Door
Question:
Im looking at the draw-tite trailer hitch #24795 to install onto a 2011 Hyundai Accent 3 door hatchback, but looking at the vehicle, it doesnt look like it will fit on the passenger side with the muffler and rear-most muffler clamp in the way. Is this the correct hitch for my car or did I get the wrong one? I can send you a picture if you like. Thanks.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24795 is a fit for your Hyundai Accent 3 Door Hatchback. In order to install this trailer hitch on your Accent, you will need to lower the muffler to gain access to the weldnuts to install the hitch. I have attached the installation instructions for this hitch for you.
We recommend cleaning the weldnuts before installing the trailer hitch. This will help ease your hitch installation. First you will want to spray the weldnut with a spray lubricant, then clean it out with a nylon tube brush, like # 814092. Once you have your weld nut clean, you will want to thread a bolt into the weldnut to make sure the bolt will go in easily when installing the hitch.
I have attached a video of this hitch being installed on a 2010 Hyunda Elantra, which has a similar installation to your Accent.
