Is the Trailer Bearing L44649 Durable
Question:
The description for these bearings says High Speed. Will these bearings be durable enough to run at speeds up to 70mph for 12 hours a day of traveling? I Plan on covering 3000 miles. Bearings are rolling 175/65 14inch tires on 6.5inch rims. Hauling around 1500lbs trailer and load. Can I cover this much milage in this short of time at this speed without having any worries or having to stop and regrease every thousand miles? How durable are these chinese bearings? I dont want to have to stop to change a failed bearing. The reason I ask is you folks offer these bearings at a very reasonable cost compared to the auto parts stores. Do low cost bearings mean unreliable?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The bearings we offer like the part # L44649 are high quality bearings. As long as you stay under the speed rating for the tires you have on your hub these would work well and would not fail.
You will need to make sure that you do keep grease in the hub. As long as they are properly greased and your trailer isn't overloaded these bearings would last a long time.
I have included a video below on inspecting bearings and another video on how to pack bearings with grease.
