Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2014 Dodge Durango Limited without 7-Way
Question:
Hello, I am looking to put in an electric brake controller into my 2014 Dodge Durango Limited. I am looking at the plug and play part # 3045-P wiring connector. I am confused as to how this would enable me to get a brake signal back to the 7 pin connector. Do I need to tap somewhere else into the factory harness to get this or what? I have the factory trailer harness coming which has the blue wire for trailer brakes. Where do I grab the output from the brake controller if I use this wiring adapter? Thank you,

If you do not have a factory 7-way at the rear of your 2014 Dodge Durango you would need to go a different route to install a brake controller instead of the # TK93VR.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118617.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
