Will we be able to fit 4 bikes racks across the 2010 dodge journey using this roof bike rack system?

As long as your roof rack crossbars are at least 43 inches in length, you should be able to fit 4 bikes across. You might find you need to alternate the direction of each bike so that they can fit closer together.

Since the bikes will be close together, I would not recommend the Swagman # S64720 roof bike racks. The wheel tray/base is made of metal that's pretty thin, which can allow the bikes some side to side movement. I'd recommend going with something like the Thule ProRide XT, part # TH598004, which would hold the bike more tightly and would prevent swaying back and forth during transport. I realize this rack IS more expensive that the Swagman rack you'd asked about, but I'm confident you'd be much happier in the long run using the SportRack model.

I believe that installing a hitch like the Curt Class III # C13201 and using a hitch mounted bike rack like the Swagman Trailhead 4 bike model, part # S63380 would be much more convenient than struggling to get 4 bikes up on the roof of a vehicle.
