Hot Water Bypass Recommendation for a Hot Water Bypass on 6 Gallon Surveyor Sport
Question:
I had a bypass installed, and have lost almost all flow. It is a cheap camco, I think. Has two valves, confusing at best. I took it apart and very small openings in the valves, so I suspect why the flow reduction. Looks like 1/5 the flow of the factory valves, that bad. BUT the factory valves were plastic and leaked almost immediately after I bought it. Would the single valve with the back flow preventer work for me and my application? Does that set up have larger orifices that will not shut down the hot flow??? Has to be redone, so want to get it right. Thanks.

I spoke to my contact at Camco and he said that it sounds like backflow of your current unit is defective and that the # CAM35983 would work for you application.
