What is the Mounting Hole Spacing for Pollak Vehicle Side 6-Pole Trailer Connector

Question:

I am looking to replace the similar Blue Ox 6-pole socket on my tow vehicle, which is made of plastic. Are the mounting hole spacing the same? Is there a difference between vehicle end and trailer end?

Expert Reply:

I went out to the warehouse and pulled Pollak 6-pole vehicle side connector # PK11608 to measure the mounting hole spacing for you. The holes are 2-3/4 inches apart on center.

The vehicle and trailer side connectors are different. The trailer side that would plug in is # PK11604. But in a flat towing set up (towing a vehicle behind a motor home) the vehicle side connector would be at the front of the towed vehicle.

The replacement Blue Ox model is # BLU43XR.
