Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack Weight Capacity
Question:
I have a 2003 Haulmark 7 x 14 enclosed trailer with rain gutters. It states that this has a 400 lb weight limit. Is this per bracket for a total of 800lbs, or per set of two brackets? If I wanted to increase the weight limit, within reason, would adding one or two more brackets accomplish that? Thanks in advance.

Expert Reply:
The weight capacity for the Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28 is 400 lbs per pair of uprights. There's no way that I can recommend you reinforce them so that they could handle more weight. 400 lbs is a lot of weight, in most cases that is more than the roof of a trailer is rated to handle.
