Measurements for Installing SportRack # SR1010 Roof Rack on 2013 4 door Ford Focus
Question:
Thank you for the measurements for placement of the front and rear bars. My question now is do I need to have the measurement on the bars themselves set at any particular number?

Expert Reply:
The center of the front crossbar should be 10 inches forward of the seam between the front and rear doors. The rear crossbar center should be 24 inches rearward of the center of the front crossbar.
The front crossbar should be adjusted to 26, and the rear to 24, as outlined in step # 3 in the linked instructions. I've linked you to the diagram from the instructions, showing the what the actual dimensions for the crossbars should be when installed on your vehicle.
