The best way to choose a hitch-mounted bike rack that will be sure to clear your rear-mounted spare tire on your Wrangler unlimited is to take a quick measurement. You will need a tape measure and a straight edge like a yardstick or a dowel. Place the straight edge vertically against the back of the spare tire, letting it extend below the trailer hitch receiver opening. Then measure from the center of the hitch pin to the straight edge. This will give you the distance you need to clear the spare tire.
The bike rack I recommend is the Thule Hitching Post Pro, part # TH934XTR. This bike rack will work with both 1-1/4 and 2 inch trailer hitch receivers and holds 4 bikes that weigh up to 35 lbs each. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar of the carrier is 13-1/2 inches. The carrier also tilts away from the rear of the Jeep, giving you access to the rear cargo area.
The bike rack you came from, the Yakima LongHaul 4 Bike Rack, part # Y02476 is designed for 2 inch receiver openings and can carry 4 bikes weighing up to 37.5 lbs each. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar for this carrier is 9 inches.
When carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.
