Installation of 4-Pole Wiring Harness on 1998 Ford F-150

On the 1988 Ford F-150 the brake and turn signal lights are already converted, so a converter is not required. For your F-150 vehicle, instead of the Hopkins Vehicle Wiring Converter, part # HM48915 I would recommend the T-1 connector part # 118316.
I will provide you a link below to the installation instructions for the T-1 connector as well as an installation video. The T-1 plugs inline into the connector that is usually located on the left side frame rail. The existing wiring harness connector would be disconnected and the T-1 is connected inline. This is a very easy installation with no cutting or splicing required.
