Is A Pin and Clip and a Lock Needed To Install a Hitch Cover On A Trailer Hitch
Question:
Do I just push the cover in or do I need to buy a pin and lock to go with it? Never had a hitch before so I am not sure.

Yes, you do need a hitch pin and clip like the Pin and Clip, # PC3, or a lock like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98880, to keep it in the hitch. You do not need both of them.
A hitch cover gets inserted into the 2 inch receiver hitch. Then either the pin and clip or the receiver lock would be inserted through both the hole in the hitch and the wire brackets on the back of the hitch cover to keep it in the hitch.
The lock uses a key to open it and is a good choice to prevent somebody from just removing your hitch cover.
