Trailer Hub Recommendation for a Trailer that has Inner/Outer Bearing L44649

Question:

Im inexperienced with this and want to make sure I get the right parts. I need a 5 by 4.5inch hub. My tires are 4.80-12inch which Im assuming means 12. Inner and outer bearings are L44649. Existing hub has a 5.75inch flange. Will the Dexter 8-259-5UC1 hub work even though it has a 5.5inch hub? Existing hub is a full circle continuous and not star shaped like the Dexter, will that make a difference? Thanks

If the bearings of your current hub are both L44649 the Dexter Hub part # 8-259-5UC1 that you referenced will fit on your current trailer spindle. Since this has the same bolt pattern as your wheels it would match up with them as well.

The star shape of this hub will not matter in comparison to the round style you currently have.
