Where Does an LED Tailgate Light Bar Wire Up on a 1997 Chevy C/K Series Truck
Question:
I want to an led tailgate bar and it come with a flat four pin connector. My truck has those wires. Do those wires have current ? Will they make the led bar work? I was thinking of hard wiring using butt connectors but im not sure if the wires on my truck have power

Those wires that you have found might be correct to use for a tailgate light bar but to be sure you would have to test them with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. The easiest option would be to install a 4-Way trailer connector, # 118325, that will just plug in line with the main taillight wiring harness in the truck and provide a 4-Way flat trailer connector. I have included a link to a video showing how it installs.
