Roof Rack and Hitch Mounted Crossbar Recommendation for a 2001 GMC Sierra Stepside

Question:

I need a ladder rack system, or your ideas for a system for my 2001 GMC Sierra stepside, with a tool box. I have seen one set up where they had one roof system and one rear section. also have seen a set up with both front and rear bars with tool box on top of front bar. my issue is my bed rails are inclosed, so how can i attach? I looked underneath truck, and there seems to be no access to rails from there. your ideas/product will be greatly appreciated. by the way love your website..thanks

I may have a solution for you, but since you have a stepside 2001 GMC Sierra none of the ladder racks we offer would work as a fit.

What you would want is a roof rack to start with like part # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK227 and then go with a hitch mounted crossbar like the Rhino-Rack T-Load # RTL002 for if you needed more support. This would be the best option you would have that should work well and wouldn't interfere with your toolbox.
