What is the Hole Size Next to the Upright Bar On the Swagman XC2 Wheel Mount Hitch Bike Rack
Question:
Hello, Can someone tell me what is the size of the hole next to the removable hitch location where you lower and raise the bar that holds the bike wheels between that and the upright rachet arm bar? I noticed it seems to be unused by the mechanism and would like to see about getting a right size padlock to lock the hitch to the hitch mount via a chain. Thanks.

I believe you are asking about the holes in the brackets at the base of the upright on the Swagman XC2 Wheel Mount Bike Rack, item # S64650, (see picture link). The oblong holes, closest to the upright bar are 3/8 inch wide and 1/2 inch tall. The round holes farther out on each side are 3/8 inch diameter. The overall width from the outside of the front bracket to the outside of the rear bracket is 1-1/2 inches.
To secure the bike rack and bikes to the chain loops on your hitch I would recommend the Roadmaster Coupler Padlock, item # RM-305 and a Master Lock 10-mm Braided Steel Cable - 6 foot, item # 78DPF.
