Recommended Position for 5th Wheel Base Rails in Reese Universal Kit # RP30035

I have a 1984 ford f350 with an 8 foot bed. I have the universal rail kit. What are the measurements for were the rails should be mounted?

For the Reese universal 5th wheel hitch installation kit # RP30035 the placement of the rear hitch rail is as follows: The REAR edge of the REAR rail should be 32-1/2-inches from the rear edge of the truck bed (not the tailgate, but the bed itself). Once you have this rear rail installed you can use you hitch legs as a template to help you position the front rail in the correct location.
