Frame Differences Between 2007 Silverado Classic 3/4 and 1 Ton Trucks When Choosing Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

The 2007 Silverado is there a difference between the 2500 and the 3500 frame? I know the 3500 has a heavier suspension, is the frame heavier also?

The 1st generation Silverado/Sierra (1999-2006 and 2007 "Classic" model) 3/4 and 1 ton models use the same frame, but the suspension found on the 1 ton 3500 is stronger.

In terms of choosing a gooseneck hitch, for the 2007 Classic 2500 (same body style as the 2006), you'd want to use the B&W Turnover Ball, part # BWGNRK1067 that you mentioned. If you don't already have a trailer connector installed in the truck bed, you can install one using part # 41157.

I've linked you to install instructions and videos for the hitch as well as the wiring harness I've recommended.
