Could the Fulton Plastic Fenders F008583 Replace a Steel Fender
Question:
I have a 2003 trail master boat trailer with 13inch wheels. The original wheel well fenders were welded on to step sides on both sides of the fender, the welds are rusting out and I lost a fender the other day. I would like to replace them with the plastic Fulton fenders with the side steps, but the steps are smaller than the steps on my trailer, I could mount them on the top of the current steps but I think it will lift the fender to high. What can I do or will this work? Maybe you are familiar with my style of trailer, is there another product other than the steel weld on fenders?

The Fulton Trailer Fenders part # F008583 that you referenced could be installed on your current trailer, but it won't be a direct fit replacement for the steel fenders you currently have/had.
On nearly every fender we sell like this there will be an element of fabrication required to install it on a trailer that previously had steel fenders. You will need to come up with a way to secure the fender to your trailer using the current mounts you have, (or what's left of them).
If you current step mounts are wider than what this fender would accommodate you would need to modify them.
